BEE EATER & KING FISHER SERIES
A Rainbow Bee Eater surprised me with its stunning plumage while I was exploring Susan Island on the Clarence River in northern NSW. This became the place that my wife and I chose to be married; under a huge Red River Gum on the island and this magical little bird became a symbol for our journey through life. Kingfishers hunt on our waterhole on the Sunshine Coast, and have become the muse for this work. The Paradise Kingfisher is a North Queensland migrant from New Guinea with beautiful tail wires, similar to the Bee Eater.
